NEWSLETTER    JULY 2022

To all members

Welcome to the Heart Support Newsletter for July 2022. I have decided to revert to our original Format which I feel is more appropriate

ELM TREE COMMUNITY CENTRE

Elm Tree Community Centre, Elm Tree Avenue, is the new Venue for the class previously held at Grangefield Community Centre.  Class time is 12.30 – 2-00pm every Monday. Members who have attended classes at Elm Tree have commented how good the Facilities are.

HARDWICK CLASS

Taff has advised that she is not available to conduct the Hardwick Class during August. This means that with effect from Wednesday 3rd. August to Wednesday 31st. August there will be no class at the Hardwick Venue. Classes will re-commence on Wednesday 7th. September.

In the meantime, Members can attend the Elm Tree Class on Mondays or the Newtown Class on Fridays, if they so wish.

VENATOR COMMUNITY FUND

We have been advised that, unfortunately, we did not receive sufficient on-line votes to qualify for a Grant. This is disappointing but thanks to everyone who supported our bid. Better luck next time!

BIDS FOR GRANTS

We have submitted bids to National Lottery and Tees Valley Sports. Both bids have been acknowledged. We should hear in the next few weeks if the bids have been successful. Members will be advised accordingly.

HARROGATE CHRISTMAS FAYRE.

We understand that Harrogate Christmas Fayre, this year, will take place between   5th. – 10th. December. We are investigating the possibility of hiring a Coach to visit the event. Further information will be provided when available.

TOMBOLA

A Tombola was held at Hartlepool General Hospital on June 28th. I am pleased to report that we raised a total of £117 for Heart Support Funds. Thank you to everyone who donated items for the Stall.

Regards and Best Wishes to you all and your loved ones

CHRISTMAS NEWSLETTER 2021

Dear Members

I hope you are all keeping well, and that you are ready for the upcoming festivities.

The Luxury Christmas Hamper Raffle was well supported and raised a total of £146 for Heart Support Funds.

Many thanks to all those who donated items for inclusion in the Hamper.

Also, many thanks to anyone who helped to sell the raffle tickets, and finally, and by no means least, thanks to all of those who bought tickets.

The hamper was won by a member of the Grangefield Class who was delighted with her prize.

The preparations for the Celebration Lunch are well under way. Tickets will be on sale in the various classes once they restart after the Christmas break.

As you will be aware the Omicron variant of the Covid virus is spreading rapidly. Currently all of Heart Support Classes are continuing to operate without any additional restrictions. We hope that this situation remains unchanged for the foreseeable future. However, should there be any restrictions announced that could affect the operation of the exercise classes, we will advise you accordingly.

I would now like to take this opportunity to wish you, your families and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year.
